Terms of Service
Last updated: April 3, 2026
Welcome to ParkingLedger. These Terms of Service govern your use of our parking spot management platform, including any paid plans or billing features we offer through Polar. Please read them carefully before using the service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ParkingLedger, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the service. These terms apply to all users, including managers, tenants, and anyone purchasing a paid ParkingLedger plan.
2. Description of Service
ParkingLedger is a web-based platform designed to help property managers organize parking spots, assign tenants, track parking-related payment records, and manage occupancy. The service may also include paid subscriptions, upgrades, or add-ons for account owners. A manager dashboard and tenant-facing views may be provided as part of the service.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use ParkingLedger. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it updated.
4. Billing, Checkout, and Polar
If you purchase a paid ParkingLedger plan, checkout, payment collection, receipts, subscription management, and certain tax-related handling may be provided through Polar. Polar describes itself as a Merchant of Record for supported sales, meaning it may act as the reseller for digital goods and services and handle international sales-tax compliance for those purchases. By starting a paid subscription or purchase, you authorize the applicable charges through Polar, including recurring charges until cancellation where applicable. Your use of Polar checkout or the Polar customer portal is also subject to Polar's Terms and Polar's Privacy Policy.
5. Parking Fees Between Managers and Tenants
Unless we explicitly offer and identify an in-app rent or parking-fee collection feature, ParkingLedger is not a party to payment obligations between managers and tenants. The app may store due dates, payment notes, uploaded proof, and status records for operational purposes, but managers are responsible for their own billing practices, notices, refunds, disputes, and compliance with applicable laws relating to tenant or parking payments.
6. Refunds, Cancellations, and Chargebacks
Refund eligibility for paid ParkingLedger services, if any, will be described at checkout, in the applicable offer, or where required by law. Subscription cancellations, invoice access, and certain billing actions may be available through Polar's customer portal. We may work with Polar on refunds, payment disputes, fraud reviews, and chargebacks, and Polar may take actions permitted under its policies to reduce fraud or chargeback risk.
7. Data & Content
You retain ownership of the data you enter into ParkingLedger, including spot configurations, tenant information, and payment records. You grant ParkingLedger a limited license to store, process, and display this data solely for the purpose of providing the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to enter personal information about tenants or other third parties and that your use of the service complies with applicable privacy, housing, and consumer laws.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree to use ParkingLedger only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You may not use the service to violate any laws or regulations, infringe the rights of others, submit fraudulent payment or billing information, transmit harmful code, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or interfere with other users' use of the service.
9. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability of the ParkingLedger service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, fraud prevention, third-party outages, or other operational reasons. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime when practical.
10. Limitation of Liability
ParkingLedger is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ParkingLedger shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This limitation also applies to issues caused by third-party providers, including payment providers, except to the extent liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, present fraud or security risks, or create legal exposure for ParkingLedger or our service providers. Upon termination, some information may be retained as required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the application. Your continued use of ParkingLedger after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Contact
